A Cleaner Carpet utilizes proven processes for optimal cleaning. From start to finish, learn how A Cleaner Carpet gives you amazing results: Our Professional Cleaning Process A Cleaner Carpet has three cleaning packages available for you to choose from. We offer Silver, Gold and our Platinum Preferred services depending on your carpet cleaning needs. The following is a brief description of our in-depth cleaning process: Step 1: Pre-Inspection A proper pre-inspection will include your areas of concern, spots where you know what was spilled, and those that you do not. While we can remove many spots and stains some may be permanent. (We can do special grafts and repairs for those areas). Step 2: Pre-Vacuum We always vacuum the edges of the rooms to remove any soiling. Depending on which cleaning package you prefer, we offer pre-vacuuming for the larger areas. Dry soil removal is always the first step in cleaning anything. Step 3: Furniture Moving We will move sofas, chairs and tables that you choose to have moved (optional). Beds, dressers, etc. are left in place under our normal pricing structure. Step 4: Pre-spray and Spotting All of the cleanable areas are pretreated to separate the soil from the fibers and spotted where necessary. Step 5: Extract and Rinse Using our powerful, truck-mounted Hot Water Extraction Process (steam cleaning), the soil is removed utilizing pressure and heat and is regulated so as not to over saturate the carpet. During the rinsing process, a solution is used to leave the carpet fibers in a neutral state, removing all previous sticky residue. There will be nothing left but clean carpet! Step 6: Post Spotting If there are any remaining stains, we will try additional techniques to remove them. Step 7: Grooming We always groom the carpet fibers in one direction for quicker drying. Step 8: Carpet Protector Depending on which cleaning package you desire, carpet protector is applied. This is always recommended, as it prevents staining and re-soiling. This also keeps your carpet warranty in effect. (In the fine print of your contract when you purchased new carpet it states, “Carpet must be professionally cleaned and carpet protector applied once every year for warranty to be in effect".) Before having your carpets cleaned, please remove all breakables and items from the tables and other furniture that you would like moved. (We typically do not move beds, dressers, entertainment centers, pianos and other heavy items. Please inform us if you would like some of these items moved when you schedule) Remove all small items such as boxes, shoes etc. from the areas to be cleaned. It is also advisable to arrange for your pets and children to be away from the area to be cleaned. This testing will determine the cleaning solution and techniques that will be used. We can tell you at this point which stains may be permanent. Step 2: Area Preparation We will prepare the area where the upholstery will be cleaned so as not to affect your surrounding furnishings. Step 3: Pre-Vacuum All textiles should be vacuumed before cleaning; this removes all of the dry soils especially in the cracks and crevices. Step 4: Pre-Treat Depending on the cleaning technique, the proper solution will be applied to separate the soiling from the fibers. Step 5: Pre-Spot Any potentially difficult spots will be treated with the appropriate spotting solution to increase the chance of removal. Step 6: Soil Extraction and Rinse The soil is then extracted with a special rinse that will leave the PH balance of the fibers neutral. Step 7: Fabric Protector (optional purchase) A fine fabric protector can be applied to increase the life and stain resiliency of your upholstery. The longer you wait to stretch the carpet, the more damage will be permanent. The little bubbles and buckles become more worn as your feet scuff across them. We can power stretch your carpet to extend its life. With experience in all types of repairs and seams, our experts can take care of these for you. Step 1: Pre-Inspection We will inspect the original finish to see if it has been worn to the bare wood. These areas are typically in front of the sink, stove and refrigerator. If the finish is gone in these areas, we would recommend barrel sanding and finishing. Step 2: Vacuuming Removal of all dry soil. Step 3: Deep Cleaning We will use a process with equipment and chemicals to remove all of the remaining spots and soil. Step 4: Finish We apply two coats of Satin or Semi-Gloss, water-borne polyurethane that you can walk on with socks within one hour of final application. Step 2: Vacuuming Removal of all dry particulate soil. Step 3: Pre-Treat Apply a special solution to enhance the removal of ground in soil and grease in the grout and tiles. Step 4: Cleaning Utilizing the truck mounted system and special equipment, we pressure wash the tile and grout to remove the remaining soil and grease. Step 5: Re-Seal Grout (optional) Resealing will enhance the look and stain resiliency of your grout (highly recommended). Our more comprehensive Pet Stain Removal Services are priced on a case by case basis depending on severity. For more intense pet urine stains that resist our normal carpet cleaning services, A Cleaner Carpet uses a special process to “flush” the urine from deep in the pad. We utilize our high-powered truck mount vacuum and other specific tools and special solutions for this process.
For optimal results, most area rugs are taken to our shop for cleaning. Our Area Rug Cleaning service includes using a pile lifter for maximum soil removal (an 9x12 area rug can hold up to 87lbs of soil without looking dirty!)
